Benefits over the Nissan OEM CAS:

1. High Timing Resolution

  • With 36 teeth, the wheel gives 10° crankshaft resolution between teeth.
  • This allows the ECU to make precise ignition and fuel timing adjustments, especially at high RPM.
  • The higher the resolution, the more accurate the timing can be, improving performance and efficiency.

2. Reliable Sync Signal

  • The two missing teeth create a unique gap, helping the ECU quickly identify Top Dead Center (TDC) on startup.
  • Faster, more reliable synchronisation = quicker starts and better idle.

3. Supports Advanced ECU Features

  • Works well with most moderns ECUs including Haltec Elite series, Link G4 series, Motec M1, ECU Masters, Emteon.
  • Enables features like launch control, variable timing, knock correction, and better fuel maps.

 4. Improved High-RPM Stability

  • At high RPM, older systems with distributor or low-resolution triggers can experience timing drift or signal noise.
  • A 36-2 wheel provides clean, consistent signals even at very high revs, maintaining power and avoiding detonation.
